Mirabilis Jalapa is the perennial Andean plant whom brightly colored and scented flowers open only at dusk. It is the symbol of the shy character, because its flowers disclose only at moonlight. That flower is the inspiration for Mirabils FloreScentia, an acousmatic work for plucked strings, synthetyzer and electric devices, whose form and development is shaped according to the plant’s annual lifecycle.
